- 01 · Full Backpack Safeguard (Hotfix 0.8.8): While the Core Detector occupies 3 vertical slots (1x3 grid footprint), Hotfix 0.8.8 ensures that accepting "Catching Current" with a full backpack will drop Anatoly's Detector directly at your feet rather than losing the item.
- 02 · Broken Save Restoration: If your save was previously stuck without Anatoly's Detector after accepting "Catching Current", loading your game under Hotfix 0.8.8 or newer automatically restores the detector to your character.
- 03 · Floor & Ground Retrieval: If you did not immediately receive the device into your hands due to a full bag, simply check the ground beneath the quest giver's feet where dialogue rewards now drop.
- 04 · Equip Offhand Scanner & Sweep Terrain: Press hotkey [3] to equip the Core Detector in your offhand. Sweep across the quest search perimeter in a zigzag pattern while keeping in-game master and effects audio enabled.

- 06 · Bolt-Cycle Audio Listener Reset: If loading a save renders the detector completely silent near visible shimmering anomalies, holster the scanner, switch to your primary firearm, cycle the bolt once, and re-equip slot [3] to reinitialize the spatial audio listener.
